BURRATA WITH CHARGRILLED GRAPES AND BASIL

BURRATA WITH CHARGRILLED GRAPES AND BASIL

Why this one?
I am in for ANYTHING with Burrata - in my opinion it is the god of cheeses, oozy, creamy and heaven on a plate. My sister visited an Italian shop and brought me on of these glorious white balls of cheese so this had to be made.

The actual cooking of the dish
It's a bit of a stretch to talking about cooking in relation to this dish. Literally had to make the marinade for the grapes and then char them for 3 minutes.

What I thought
Creamy Burrata and sweet grapes made this dish taste almost like a dessert but the use of the fennel seeds and garlic firmly grounded this plate of gorgeous looking food in the savoury territory. Charring the grapes accentuated their natural sweetness complimented by the sherry vinegar and by heating the fruit they took on all the flavour of the marinade - it was pure joy.

Difficulty: So so so very easy

Tastiness rating: 9/10

Next time I'd.... get the Burrata out fridge a little earlier so it was at room temperature.
